Aquì todo bien is the solo exhibition by Sandro Mele dedicated to the guerrilla and militant Colombian politician Bernardo Zuluaga (Bello, Colombia 1954-Rome, 2008). The artist runs through the life of Zuluaga, who was militant of FARC (Colombia Revolutionary Armed Forces) and then a relevant exponent of E.P.L. (Popular Army of Liberation), reworking a big archive made by pictures, video and audio recordings, and diaries owned by Zuluaga himself.
With a big installation of drawings, photos integrated by painterly interventions, a sculpture, a video, and a sound installation, homage to Bernard’ love for salsa and Latin American dances, the work by Mele brings back to the political activity of Zuluaga as well as to his personal life.
