So much has been written about the Met’s Costume Institute exhibition Punk: Chaos to Couture in New York. That’s why we decided not to bore you with the show details, the anthropological review and the nihilistic theory that you could find in an unknown book written by an unknown intellectual who committed suicide on Christmas Eve. We preferred to show you what could have been the perfect soundtrack for such an event. Hence, find some tracks that will remind you what punk was. Unfortunately, any selection is a personal selection, therefore this playlist shouldn’t be considered as the perfect punk compilation ever, or the one that includes the most important bands, and so on. It’s just the DROME‘s favourite one. Any tune and any chord mean something to us, and they’re connected with a memory or two. And now, stop wasting your time. Just play it at the maximum volume you can afford, ’cause this is not indie-electro music.
