ILLUSTRATIVE. Zurich Art Forum 2008
DROME magazine Young Illustrators Award 2008

After Berlin and Paris, ILLUSTRATIVE touches down in Zurich, presenting the best of the avant-garde in contemporary illustrative and graphic art. The Forum ranges from psychedelic wall paintings and erotic Neo-Pop Art to drawings of almost photographic precision. This 4th Forum exhibits over 400 works by 35 artists on the international scene, including German illustrators Olaf Hajek and Martin Haake, Spanish comic-illustrator Jorge Varela and Japanese Motion-Graphic artist Yoh Nagao. Also on show are the works of 20 artists nominated for the Young Illustrators Awardby a jury of experts including Stefan Pollak, creative director of DROME, media partner of the festival, which will reward three finalists with the Young Illustrators Award 2008 by DROME magazine. The winning works will be published in DROME 15 amore (Dec./Feb. 2009) 
Illustrative Forum proposes encounters with agencies and publishing houses, whereas the Illustrative Fashion Salon and Illustrative Objects sections examine the influence of illustrative art on fashion and on ceramics and glassware production, respectively.
