AT LONDON 2012 OLYMPIC GAMES
The House of Switzerland opens a beating “Red Zone” in the heart of London that will cover a total area of 3000m2 and which will promote the Swiss image in the British capital. In fact, at the 2012 Olympic Games, the University of Art and Design in Geneva (HEAD), in collaboration with the House of Switzerland, will present Swiss Game Lounge, a privileged selection that get together the work of established designers and that of young one, with a particular focus on those made in the Media Design Master of the Genevan University. The exhibition highlights the innovative features of the game design emphasizing the importance of the dynamic-playful aspect and the distinctive elements, experimental, aesthetic, and graphics of each project.
Sixteen games for mobile devices, three for computers, and a fun-interactive installation will introduce the public to the exhibition. Orbital, produced by Bitforge and promoted by Steve Jobs in 2010 when he presented the iPad, the computer games Daina the Herbarium, designed by Dario Hardmeier and Raffaele de Lauretis, Mirage by Mario von Rickenbach and Feist by Florian Faller and Adrian Stutzthree, are just some of these modern communication tools on show.
