SILVANO MANGANARO
He was born and grown up in Rome, but he doesn’t feel like a Roman, an Italian, a European or a citizen of the world… Basically, he always feels inapt! He finds refuge in curatorial projects, scattered articles and having a good chat while eating pasta, and he likes watching old episodes of Carosello.
With his round eyeglasses, he looks at the world in a disenchanted way, even if he is still able to get indignant. He alternates his reflections between the analysis of the contestation and reworking processes of the axioms of the capitalist economy through the art (if you didn’t understand, you can always read it again!) and the formal and socio-semiotics reading of mass media, in particular of advertising. He believes in a few things, like irony, and he is convinced that a laugh will save us… buring us!
