Energy through Generations

“(+150) Vision: Origins and Power. Energy through Generations”. It’s the theme of the third edition of the Terna Prize for contemporary art curated by Cristiana Collu and Gianluca Marziani.
It celebrates the strength of the vision and of creative and constructive thinking, the capability of projecting oneself and others into the future. Artists and the public are invited to reflect on the fundamental moment of the intuition and of the visionary idea. Energy transmission spreads, it becomes substantial and crosses generations, communities, people and history, becoming development, transformation and implementation.
In fact, the reference to the number “(+150)” indicates a historical example of a specific vision: 1861 originated the unification of Italy, whose 150th anniversary will be celebrated in 2011, when the final exhibit of the Terna Prize 03 will close.
We inform you, lastly, about three novelties of the current edition: the contest is also open to video art, it supports the AMACI contemporary art museums with the project “More Energy to Museums” and is connected with China for the EXPO 2010.
