INVISIBLE VIOLENCE
Four days focussed on the international video art scene. But not only. FestArte VideoArt Festival, produced by Federculture and organized by Ass. Cult. FestArte, looks forward to meeting you at the charming spaces of La Pelanda - the new seat of MACRO Testaccio (ex Mattatoio) -, with an exhibition and an awards night of the artworks in the final round of the 3rd International Competition, this year dedicated to main theme of “INVISIBLE VIOLENCE - private, public, social”. Divided into three categories - in Competition, Selected and Special Mentions -, the videos, arrived from all from all over the world, think over the censorship of the media, family relations, the man-woman relationship and friendship, social identity and the apparent 'normality'. There are as well the works by an extraordinary guest, the Dutch artist Erwin Olaf, and the lounges Monitor with around 150 of over 500 sent videos, aperitif talks about the video art with the experts, performative moments, audio/video performance and dj sets.
