JONATHAN MEESE ::
SOLO SHOW IN ATHENS
The Bernier / Eliades Gallery in Athens could not open in a more explosive way its 2012 exhibition season. In fact, on January 12, it is scheduled the opening of “Marquis D’Octan (Miss Meesi-P-Eggy Doc Doggy Piggy Dick Dickson Dick Ducky Is In Town)”, the first solo exhibition in Greece of one of the most enigmatic figures in the contemporary art world: Jonathan Meese.
The exhibition will include a wide range of works, between paintings and sculptures, most of which created ad hoc by the charismatic Berlin-based artist who DROME had the pleasure to meet in 2010, on the occasion of a daring and exclusive interview – published on our issue18 and now available online -, that took inspiration from the theme of Childhood and allowed us to deeply delve into the universe of his powerful and seductive creativity, suspended between innocence and rebellion.
Unmissable!
