Who loves hybrid and multi-purpose spaces cannot miss the fifth appointment of Project Room, the exhibition series curated by elsewhere factory studio. In Rome, from March 14th to April 14th 2013, the creative and arty&artier local CARGO presents the creative world of Francesco Viscuso, a young artist that was born in Catania.
His activity ran the range from photography – his favourite media – to installation and video art and, since his passion for Marcel Duchamp, he enjoys Readymades too. He has a dreamlike aesthetic based on three topics: time, memory, trauma. The personal journey is a constant presence, but is combined with social criticism. The most attentive visitors will notice the influence of Hieronymus Bosch, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Caravaggio and Dino Valls. A heavy-bodied imagination, more similar to absinthe than to Daiquiri.

Note: On April 9th 2013, at the roman art_core_gallery, Francesco Viscuso will present Carnival Motel, a photo series about “the abyss of human loneliness in the capitalism era”. The exhibition will be part of the last edition of CROSSWISE!, the festival curated by Fondazione VOLUME!. The purpose is to examine the world of the contemporary photography in all its variants, trying to combine different artistic languages too. Stay tuned for further news about CROSSWISE!
